Lakeside Yacht Club is honored to host the inaugural Jerry McConnell Memorial Poker Run June 10-12, 2011.  The actual run will take place on Saturday, June 11 and is open to the power boating public, regardless of the speed of the vessel.  After all, it is a run, not a race.
 
This event replaces the "Wiener Roast" Poker Run, a long-standing annual event in Cleveland that has proven to be a truly enjoyable weekend for captains and passengers alike.  This year, the festivities are expanded to include appetizers with cash bar and live band Friday night, the run on Saturday with lunch at the Jackalope in Lorain, lovely ladies entertaining us on the deck at Christies Cabaret (they promise something to remember - may want to leave the kids out for this one!), dinner and a live band on the LYC deck Saturday night, and brunch LYC followed by a pool party with live music and a cash bar and barbecue Sunday.  Dockage for Friday and Saturday nights is included.

The run will start and end at Lakeside Yacht Club, with stops along the North Shore.  Registration starts Friday evening between 6:30 and 9:00 p.m. with late registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.  Please get your registration and a waiver for each participant to LYC by June 8th to speed up the registration process (docks with electricity will be allocated on a first-reserved basis).  There will be a brief participant meeting at 10:30 a.m. and the run will begin at 11 a.m. rain or shine.
 
Registration is $150.00 per boat (captain and mate), and includes dockage Friday and Saturday night, two tee shirts, one poker hand, appetizers Friday with coffee and donuts, burgers and chicken at the Jackalope, and a “you-build-it” all-you-can-eat stir fry dinner with beef, chicken, fish, and veggies on Saturday, and LYC’s famous breakfast brunch on Sunday.  We have live bands Friday and Saturday nights on the deck and live music at the pool Sunday.  Passenger registration is $60 per person and include a T-shirt and passes to all events. Hotel arrangements (with shuttle) are available.
